Disambiguate bulk operations from single-item ones in the name
When a deleteX exists, name the bulk variant clearly (deleteAllX / clearAllX) to avoid confusion.
PR: hegnar-zephr-components · org-mining-hist-2026-06Created: Jun 19, 2026
Bad example
Old codetypescript
| 1 | clearCookies() // alongside deleteCookie() |
Explanation (EN)
Similar names conceal whether one item or the complete collection is affected.
Objašnjenje (HR)
Good example
New codetypescript
| 1 | clearAllCookies() // clearly bulk, distinct from deleteCookie() |
Explanation (EN)
Objašnjenje (HR)
Notes (EN)
When single-item and bulk operations coexist, inspect their scope and give the bulk operation an unambiguous name.
Exceptions / Tradeoffs (EN)
Keep an established public API unless a compatible migration is part of the change; never label a filtered subset as all.
