scssanimationnaming
Name CSS animations independently of the class that uses them
Keyframe animation names should describe the motion, not be coupled to a single class name.
PR: vinify-frontend · org-mining-deep-2026-06Created: Jun 17, 2026
Bad example
Old codescss
| 1 | @keyframes floatIn { /* named after .floatIn class */ } |
Explanation (EN)
An incidental host class name obscures a reusable animation's effect.
Objašnjenje (HR)
Good example
New codescss
| 1 | @keyframes slideUpFade { /* describes the motion, reusable */ } |
Explanation (EN)
Objašnjenje (HR)
Notes (EN)
Name a reusable keyframe sequence by its motion when several component classes use that same effect.
Exceptions / Tradeoffs (EN)
Component-specific keyframes can keep a scoped component name to avoid collisions. Renaming requires updating every animation reference.
