Parse boolean query params explicitly, not via truthiness
Query params arrive as strings, so '?flag=false' is the truthy string 'false'. Compare against 'true' explicitly.

At the HTTP boundary, validate query parameter shape and accepted boolean strings before conversion. Decide how missing, repeated and invalid parameters behave.

If the framework already validates and transforms to boolean, consume that result instead of parsing it again.
